It was more than just a piece of paper and uttering a few words.
It was about affirming a commitment that we’d always be family. I’d always be by her side, through thick and thin, just as we always had, and I would always be there for Kayla Jade.
For me, family is more than blood.
Lucy has been by my side and supported every decision I’ve made, even the ones that my own family was vehemently against.
I have been so proud watching Luce evolve and grow as a mother. Watching her with Kayla makes my heart swell with pure joy. I could watch them forever.
So today, we did a thing.
