A Day Before 33

Tomorrow. Tomorrow was her birthday.

The older she got the less of a big thing it became in ways. 33 wasn't a milestone birthday really either.

The birthday plan was really a simple one. She'd go over her parents for lunch with the kiddos. She'd sure there would be cards the kids made that drawing became clearer with age. Liv was almost 11 now after all and Zoe was 6. There would be cake. Presents bought or made depending who they were from. Nice and small and good.

And then.... the other gift from her parents was that they'd babysit the girls that night as Kai was working. She loved her kids, but well sometimes this was needed.

Bree wasn't sure what she would do exactly. Maybe head to a bar for a little bit, even if by herself enjoy some drinks. Maybe some people from the gym would want to go too. Maybe partly do a night in just enjoying her place to herself. Who ever knew that could be such an enjoyable thing? Turned out it could be.

Was life what she thought it would be? In some ways yes and someways no:

-After all, there were family and friends that moved away to NY
- She and Kai had separated years ago which well no one plans that. Of course, if you asked her when she was 21 there were a lot of things there she didn't expect.
- She did still have her job at the MMA gym that she loved and did her freelance art
- Her daughter Liv loved cats as much as she does. Sadly though, their cat passed away.
- Her little sister finally got married (something Bree wasn't sure she'd ever do unless unless the situation felt a certain way but that was fine by her.)
- Her little sister and her wife just had a baby boy. Her Dad was elated at that after having 3 girls and 3 girl grandchildren.


Guess that was live though. It'd be boring if everything was expected, right?
