some temporary changes

Luna used to stay during the week at Madeline's old house, as it was closer to college and work, saving the girl a lot of time. But she couldn't stay there anymore, so she needed a new place to stay or a car. Gennie was trying to convince her to buy a cheap car, but Luna was still resisting. "You know that besides not liking to drive, it would still take me a lot of time going back and forth every day. I'm trying to get accommodation at college, but it might be difficult in the middle of the semester." If only Gennie's house wasn't so far away.

It was Luna's routine they were trying to work around due to the changes they needed to make. Gennie preferred that Luna decide, but she thought it was an exaggeration for her to need to spend money on rent with the miserable salary she was receiving. "If River hadn't moved to such a small apartment, you could stay with him for a few days..." she grumbled, and Luna immediately dismissed the idea. "Exactly, but we didn't change our plans after so long for me to suddenly invade his home now."

It was absurd that Sun's father was being released early, precisely for good behavior, simply the biggest irony of recent times. So, they would just do their best to keep the boy safe. Gennie had already talked to him, and there wasn't much time for Luna to decide what to do. "I'll talk to Dylan, maybe I can stay with him for a few days until I decide. It's not ideal, but I'm sure he won't mind."

It wasn't like Luna hadn't slept over at his place a thousand times already, and now River's room was vacant. "Okay, but please don't make any rash decisions... Let's just wait a bit and see how things flow." Secretly, Gen hoped Sun's father wouldn't be able to respect his parole, and perhaps she was thinking of some way to make him go back to the place he was never supposed to leave. Gen didn't mind getting her hands dirty, she would do anything to keep her family safe.
