And it all started like this! I remember...I'd like to talk about one of my passions, the Harlem United club. As you can see, it's a club that represents my city, NY (the birthplace of basketball). A club that sports volleyball, soccer, and basketball. But let's talk about my favorite sport, which I follow as a huge fan: basketball. This Sunday, we're playing more than just a final to see if we can qualify for the playoffs, so the whole neighborhood needs to be cheering each other on, and as you can see, I'm going to be there. PBS S3 | Round 9 | Harlem United vs. Gothic United How players like the great captain Nixie (watch her 😍), Akane, the great scorer, León, Carl, Colin, Freja, Lena, and Gabrielle, let's hope they can win the ring and bring joy to the neighborhood. As you can see, I'm up to date with my season ticket.
We just finished the first match in Barcelona with a loss, but I'm not going to let that take away my hope. I breathe after the match, sweaty and exhausted, but I look up and cheer on my teammates. It's always been my dream to reach a final and feel like all the hard work hasn't been in vain. And now that we're so close, I'm not going to let fear or doubt stop me.
I have the support of an entire city, New York, that beats with me and with Harlem United. But I also have my own doubts and fears. What if we're not good enough? What if we can't overcome the obstacle that lies before us? But today I have people by my side who support me unconditionally. My family, my children, and my wife, who are always there for me, and especially my colleagues and friends.So, Harlem United, I'm ready to be a champion on Wednesday. And if not, I'll keep trying. Because life is like that, a path of struggle and perseverance. But with my hopes intact and my heart full of passion, I know I can achieve it. Go Harlem United!
