Yesterday, I married the love of my life.
Westminster Abbey, grand, ancient, sacred... Will never be the same again.
Neither will I.
We walked in as two seprate hearts and walked out man and wife, wrapped in love (and a thick fog of weed smoke. Sorry vicar. It just felt right.)
Cherry looked like something out of a dream. No, not a dream, because dreams fade. She looked like truth. Like the reason music exists. The stained glass caught her just right, her gorgeous features dancing in the evening London light, and all I could think was, how did I even live before her?
Will was my best man. That mad bastard delivered a speech that made grown men cry and priests question their vows.
Then, he handed me the leash to a baby lion. A lion. Payback I guess, but its a best friend for his Lion too, maybe we can have lion babies in future who knows. I thought Cherry was going to kill me, or him... but shes actually cool.
We toasted with stolen communion wine, rolled a joint on the altar, and sang a hymn with x rated lyrics. Holy chaos. Pure bliss.
After everyone cleared out, drunk, dazzled, and a little less sacred in the eyes of kobe, Cherry and I slipped away. Back home. Just us. No crowds, no cameras. Just our bodies, our laughs, our silence. The first night as Mr and Mrs Luther.
And now, Moscow, the honeymoon begins.
It’s strange how a single day can shift your life. I used to orbit boxing, then music, pain, memory. Now I orbit her.
