She would have preferred to return without a bittersweet feeling and without the ghosts of the past tormenting her after not receiving any sign from
him. She waited and waited, but after checking that he was not admitted to any hospital, she decided to return to London because all her social and work commitments could no longer be postponed.
The thing is, even though she's now busy with work and social events, she can't help but wonder if something has happened to him, and if so, if it was a good idea to leave him alone in Mexico. But who can assure her he's still there? The man is a complete mystery, and she's not a dependent or controlling woman. Even so, she can't help but check her phone every now and then.
