Full Circle

So this is what they meant by the term coming full circle. The timeline of his life was always fairly linear, never failing to drive straight forward as life events happened around him. Circling back was never an idea that would cross his mind until recently. The idea of crossing to the next work to reunite with Viv had been heavy on his mind and during his contemplation of the matter Ryo showed up at his door, pleasantries in hand. He even came with a cute little tattooed beauty in tow.

The two had been living in the same city for over a decade without ever crossing paths which Sycorax thought was probably for the best, he didn't end things well and resentment has a way of surfacing when two people collided.

Syc didn't think reuniting was going to be a good idea or a bad one. Instead he did as he always had, went with the flow to see where it would take him in this full circle moment. What he did not expect was how the feelings he felt all those years ago would crush up on him like a tidal wave crashing onto sandy beaches. While he kept memories of the past just were they belonged, in the past, he welcomed the new ones the two old flames were creating. Maybe this is what was suppose to happen all along.

When he snuck in bed that night next to Ryo after a late night of lecture planning he gently pulled the sleeping man into his arms and kissed his forehead. "I hope you know how much I really do love you, Ryo." He whispered, hoping somewhere in Ryo's dreams he heard the confession.
