A Wedding in Paris...

I'd received the letter a few weeks back, an invitation to my friend, Denise's wedding. Since I came back, she's been a very good friend to me, always there to talk about things, but even so, I was surprised to receive an invite, as I felt I had not known her that long. Still, I wasn't exactly going to pass up a chance to celebrate someone taking that next step in life with their loved one.

I wasn't sure what to get though, but hopefully the bottle of champagne would be enough! Although I suspect it was probably just one amongst many. And I'll admit to having a tear in my eye as I watched the happy couple pledge their lives to each other.



To have and to hold... in sickness and in health...

I remember these words very, very dearly... and I only needed to glance at the lady besides me.

And my heart did still flutter when I heard the magic words, you may now kiss the bride...

I almost felt like I was living a dream, a fantasy, through the lucky couple today.

And that made me think, and wonder...
