new news: expecting edition
He hadn’t expected the words to come from Hannah’s mouth. Or rather, the gift that she ended up passing him — he was afraid to open it, scared of what might have been in there. With his luck, it would have been a dead fish with beady eyes — almost waiting to be shoved down his throat. But he remembered that smells had started to bother her, and he was worried that she was getting physically sick of him —was that truly a thing? That’s what usually happened, unfortunately. He was bracing himself for that, but he hadn’t expected the new lines on a test — or the subsequent lines on the other tests that seemed to be thrown haphazardly in the box.
Ty had fainted soon after, not because he didn’t know what he was going to say but because he couldn’t believe it. They were actually having a baby—a piece of them both, running around their house in Seattle. Nervousness and excitement worked their way in tandem, the excitement winning out because he had done this before, yet he knew that Hannah hadn’t had the smoothest pregnancy thus far. But he knew that he would be there every step of the way.
