Night fiend
The city rumbled as it prepared to celebrate the turn of the year. The sounds of people yelling, fireworks and loud music, all heralding the upcoming night like a trumpet fanfare calling for battle. And he was ready. Not just that night, but every single one. The allure of nightlife enthralled him like a siren's song, promising to deliver untold pleasures or smack him into sharp rocks. But that uncertainty was what drew him in. Never knowing which random conversation would spark the fires of lasting friendship, which intense gaze would get him lucky, which ill-timed bump would be the precursor to the sweet sting of pain.
