New Episode: From Waves to Stages
Our first show of this tiny US tour hit New York City – and NYC hit back. Packed room, blown-out monitors, voices roaring the chorus louder than my amp. For a moment I forgot to breathe. Then I remembered: this is the new cliff I’m jumping from. And it felt right.
The best part? I’m not doing this alone. My brother Jamie – JBP – is right there with me. On stage he’s the heartbeat of Pumkin Park, off stage he’s the guy turning our chaos into memories. I swear he’s the best video producer out there; nobody catches the sweat, the shaking hands, the after-show silence like he does.
From now on, life means something different: airports and tour vans, stages, rehearsal rooms and recording studios. Surfboards trading places with flight cases, dawn patrol replaced by soundcheck.
But the motto stays:
Salt in my hair, riffs in my soul, and rum in my hand.
