Lisa sat in her room, while her baby boy rested safely with her sister. Her hands lay gently in her lap, her heart pounding. She took a slow, steady breath, trying to stay calm as she prepared to walk toward the love of her life.
As the doors opened and she stepped onto the aisle, her breath hitched. The veil draped over her face, softening the world around her, but she could see one thing clearly, him. Waiting, watching, the love of her life stood at the end of a path lined with love, hope, and forever. She couldn't stop smiling, her eyes locked onto his, and she bit her lip as if to keep from floating away
With every step closer, he didn’t move, didn’t blink, just watched her with that look, the one that made her feel like the only person in the universe. And when she finally reached him, he extended his hand without hesitation. she placed hers in his, feeling the silent promise in his touch.
As her fingers met his, the ceremony ready to begin, she softly mouthed through her veil, her voice barely a whisper but filled with all the love in her heart
