When Eyes Meet

It was just another ordinary day — or so it seemed. The kind of day when you step outside with no expectations, your mind wandering and your heart at ease, unaware that something extraordinary is about to happen.

You saw him — or maybe he saw you first.
For a brief instant, time seemed to lose its rhythm. The voices around you faded, the sounds dissolved, and all that remained was that look. It wasn’t an intense, movie-like stare, nor a burst of sparks. It was something subtler — a silent recognition, as if two souls had finally found each other again after being apart for too long.

He smiled. A simple, genuine smile, yet one that carried something familiar, as if saying, “Ah, there you are.” You smiled back, not really knowing why, and in that moment something within you stirred — an echo, a whisper saying, “This is it.”

The conversation began effortlessly, unplanned, and yet it flowed so naturally. Words found their place, laughter came easily, and even the pauses felt comfortable. It was as if you had spent a lifetime rehearsing for that dialogue, waiting for the right moment to recognize one another.

Minutes turned into hours, and the world around you seemed to move in another rhythm. Lights began to glow, the sky painted itself in shades of orange, and still you were there — talking about everything and nothing, sharing stories, fears, dreams.

And when your hands touched for the first time, it was different.
There was no rush, no hesitation. Only a calm, profound certainty — that this touch would not be the last.

Sometimes, the love of your life doesn’t arrive with fireworks or a sweeping soundtrack. It arrives like this — in the middle of an ordinary day, in an ordinary place, and turns the ordinary into forever.
