Sometimes arriving fashionably late can be a good thing; especially when it's not because you’ve lost track of date or time, but rather because time itself, momentarily, has ceased to exist - as you navigate your way through a wild storm. One that you personally inflicted upon yourself amidst the tumult of your past and present colliding; where wounds weren't just re opened but scratched, as you fought to find yourself within an endless void.
All the while struggling against everything you believe in.
Yet, therein existed the enduring warmth of the sun that never faded; not from your flesh, not from your soul and never from your heart. The kind that seeps into your being even whilst you sail against the cold currents; relentlessly giving you a reason to stay afloat.
And afloat you stayed.
Because against all odds, in that tempest, clarity came - it came in the shape of your true
north; your Polaris and Sirius, both unwaveringly illuminating the path that finally guided you through the long and winding road;
