[Article] Acid Spider Burns Bright in Brussels

Last night in Brussels, Acid Spider proved once again that rock is alive, dangerous, and louder than ever. Leading the charge was frontman Jasper Waight, whose voice tore through the arena like thunder wrapped in velvet. His electric guitar work—fiery, raw, and almost reckless—set the crowd ablaze, reminding everyone why Acid Spider still owns the stage decades into their reign.

But while Jasper soared, not every moment struck the same chord. Roxanne Waight, who recently traded her burlesque throne of glitter and glamour for the grit of rock ’n’ roll, seemed oddly subdued. Once the queen of sequins and spotlight seduction, she stepped on stage in what could only be described as a burlap sack masquerading as a dress. It was a far cry from the dazzling, shimmering icon fans remember, and though her presence brought undeniable energy, her style choice left the audience divided.

Still, the music carried the night. With Jasper’s voice ripping through anthem after anthem, and the band’s thunderous performance shaking Brussels to its core, Acid Spider reminded us that rock doesn’t need glitter to shine—it needs fire. And on that front, Jasper delivered in spades.
