London had abandoned the idea of ever figuring out the male psyche but sometimes she needed answers when left absolutely stumped. It didn't help that her dating pool and friend group mostly consisted of the opposite sex either.
'Friend group' was putting it lightly since it was mainly Colin, her go to for all things. Sometimes London wondered if he ever tired of choosing the best picture out of ten nearly identical selfies. The better part of her knew that he probably couldn't even tell the difference and she'd likely choose one completely different from his pick anyway.
None of this stopped her from spamming his messages on the daily. Colin probably rolled his eyes when seeing the 'SOS' signal about man troubles but he was a good sport about it when he called. At least for a while.
"I just don't understand. It's like, what the heck? Makes my head spin. Because it's just like—"
He'd cut her off before she could continue. "Yeah, I know. You have one more time to explain it before I pick you up so we can grab ice cream."
"But I only explained it one time!" She'd need at least six more times to go over it, three tangents that would circle back around to one of her points, two times to question whether she was making the right decision, and then a continuation via text after they hung up. That was how conversations went with her sister, at least.
"I know but...look, twice is enough to get it off of your chest and then move on. I already gave you advice last time. Did you do it?"
"Yeah."
"So what is there to talk about? Fudge or caramel? I'll be there in fifteen."
"BUT—fine. Fudge."
"Now go ahead but just so you know I'm not actually listening."
Why were guys like that? London knew deep down that he was right but that didn't stop the incessant girl need to rehash the same exact thing a million times.
