Soundtrack to My Week: His Blue Bloom

This week’s soundtrack came from somewhere unexpected… a song I wrote months ago, back when my husband dyed his hair blue and quietly shifted the whole palette of my world.
His Blue Bloom wasn’t meant to follow me into this week, but somehow it found its way back; soft, gentle, at exactly the right moment.

Between rehearsals, deadlines, long studio nights and that familiar artist’s exhaustion settling into my bones, the days blurred together. I’ve been chasing melodies more than sleep lately. But last night, while I was lost in mixes and unfinished drafts, His Blue Bloom suddenly played on its own.
And for a moment, everything eased.

The opening lines floated through the room like a warm memory:

In that shade of blue,
you pulled me closer without trying.
Your colors bloomed in my chest,
turning every breath into something softer.

Hearing it again reminded me that this song isn’t just a song, it’s a snapshot. A moment frozen in blue light, the spark I felt when I saw him under the stage glow and remembered how love can shift the whole temperature of a day.

This week was tiring, heavy in some places, fast in others. A few moments slipped through my fingers before I could even breathe.
But His Blue Bloom brought me back.
To stillness.
To warmth.
To the reason I keep creating even when I’m worn thin.

It reminded me of his voice, his scent, the way those blue strands brushed my shoulder… and of why my heart always finds its way back to him, no matter how chaotic life gets.

So if my week needed a soundtrack,
it would be His Blue Bloom.
Because through all that happened in these past days,
his song is the one that stayed with me.
