27. the vows: the greatest fairytale of them all
My Prince,
Can you believe that it’s been almost a decade since we’ve been in each other’s orbit? I still remember the day we met — I was new in school and only had two friends (that’s expanded now — to the hot wives club!), and I’d gotten separated from the friend I’d come with. And there you were. Asking me for a dance, I think I might have scared you — you were scary, it was as if I looked at you and saw that you’d become my universe.
We’ve shared every Prom since then. You’ve asked me to be your girlfriend and Prom date in this forest where we get to say I do — and start our happily ever after. It’s a full circle moment — it would have been iconic if we’d gotten married next year in year ten… but truthfully? I didn’t want to waste another second of not being yours in every sense of the word.
