Sun was still living in Los Angeles when his taste for webtoons underwent a slight shift in focus. He had always liked action or sports stories, but one day, while browsing the app he used to read, he liked an illustration and clicked on it without seeing what the webtoon was about. He went to the first chapter. Sun liked the art style, the choice of colors, the shading... and scrolled to the end. When he reached the last frame, without being sure what it was about, he clicked to see the next chapter.

Surprised, he soon realized what it was about. The boy who seemed to shine, and the other who was nervous about the approach... the smile that seemed to blind the nervous boy. Sun smiled, there was something there that he recognized in an old, silent way. He had never read a romance between boys, but he didn't find it strange. Just... right.

It didn't take long for it to become his favorite. The way the author dealt with homosexuality, mental health, family ties, everything pleased him. And that lonely boy, in a strange city, now had something familiar that he could visit often.

He continued reading his sports webtoons, but this one and now other BLs also had his attention. He loved the story and the characters, but eventually the author stopped publishing, without any notice of a hiatus or anything.

Sun waited, he had always been a patient boy. Many months passed and he still checked the app, hoping to see a brand new chapter waiting for him.

That story that was so meaningful to him might never be published again, and not being able to know the ending the author had planned for the characters didn't make it any less special. He kept checking the app, but less and less frequently. Maybe eventually he would stop checking, accepting the end, imagining stories for the characters, and finally saying goodbye.

But he wouldn't forget.
