Even though he had said he would come, Lilly had been nervous until the very last minute, that he might had forgotten. Or maybe she had missed something and he wouldn't be able to attend after all. But there he was. Her dad. Happy tears started streaming down her face. "Great the ceremony hasn't even begun yet and I am already ruining my make-up. But that is the good thing about getting married on Halloween. If I look horrendous now, I can just claim it is part of my Halloween-make-up look."
Lilly's biggest fear today was walking down the aisle in front of everybody and then tripping over her dress or her feet giving in. But now that Kaj was here, Lilly got to walk down the aisle together with him.
Maddie's great aunt had done a fantastic job with Lilly's wedding dress. It was simple, yet elegant. Not too much, not too long, not too big. And yet still absolutely breathtaking.
"Emilis. You are the first boy -outside my family- I ever liked. You are the first boy to notice me. The first boy who stole my heart. The first boy who managed to get me out of my shell. You are the first boy I ever went on a date on. And you are the first boy I ever kissed. You are my first boyfriend. And with this ring on my finger now, you will also forever stay the only boy. Because we are adults now, so the next one who will steal my heart, will be a man." She let out a giggle and quickly shook her head: "Haha happy Halloween, had to scare you at least once. No you are the only one for me. Boy and man. I love you. I love your craziness. Let's be forever crazy together."
