✨ EMA » Elite Essentials: Some Things I Never Leave Behind

They say you can tell everything about a girl by what's in her bag. I say check her vanity, too.

This week's essentials post isn't just what I carry, it's what carries me. The little bits and pieces that hold my chaos together and make me feel like myself, no matter where I am. Whether I'm prepping for a shoot, running late (as usual), or just overthinking life whilst on the tube.

So here's what I've got on me (and in me):



Beauty bits: lip balm, a compact, and a dark lipstick for mood swings in colour form. I don't wear all of it at once, but it's like armour. Some girls wear heels. I wear eyeliner.

A notebook & camera: For thoughts I won't post and moments I want to keep. I've learned not everything has to be shared, but some things are too beautiful to forget.

Headphones: For silencing the world and soundtracking my own. Playlists are modern-day spells. Mine's 90% film scores and sad girl bangers.

But my vanity has treasures too. Scented oils, serums, the good moisturiser (the one I hide from Mirai), my favourite rings and perfume that smells like dusk in Tokyo. My vanity is a moodboard of who I am, when no one's watching.



The pink bunny bag... Well... She's chaos, cute, and way too small for everything I carry, which makes her perfect.

I'm not minimalist. I'm not maximalist either. I'm Miya-ist. I travel with less guilt and more gloss. Because my essentials aren’t always practical, they're personal. And sometimes the most essential thing of all is a little softness you carry with you, just in case the day turns rough.
