A Brave New Eason

Ashley looked at herself in the mirror one last time. It had been a long time since she stopped dressing like a boy. Her feelings, sensations, her soul… they were far from that. She grew up with her sisters, with Rosi, Ru, Aitana, and her mom Ciara. He was born to be a true Eason. A complete “she.” And today, at seventeen years old, she finally felt ready to step fully into the light.

“Ashley, the photographer is here! Come quickly!” called her sister Aitana, with whom she was closest. They had always been extremely close, growing up together and spending countless afternoons playing while their older sisters and their mother were models. Today was Ashley’s turn, and although her family had always accepted her as she was, she couldn’t help but feel nervous.

The preparations were brief. The family’s regular photographer knew exactly what they needed to feel comfortable. Ashley, trying to relax, sat down, smiled, and let herself be carried away.
