My Forever Girl

I’m still shaking a little as I write this, trying to process what just happened. I asked her. I asked you. And you said yes.

It’s been a whirlwind with you, my girl. We’ve crammed a lifetime of weird, beautiful, chaotic moments into such a short time. It’s like the universe threw us together and said, “Here, figure it out,” and damn, did we figure it out.

We’ve laughed until our stomachs hurt, argued over the stupidest things (pineapple on pizza, really?), and held each other through things I don’t even know how to put into words. You’ve seen me at my absolute worst—messy hair, mascara smudged, yelling at the TV during reality shows—and somehow, you’ve loved me through it all.

It didn’t take long for me to realize that you’re it for me. The way you look at me like I hung the stars, the way you light up every room you walk into... How could I not want to make you my wife? Mrs. Hendricks. That’s got a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

You’re going to be the mom to my future kids, the partner who makes every mundane day feel like an adventure, and the person I grow old with. I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I promise to never take this—us—for granted.

I love you more than words will ever do justice. Let’s keep being weird together, let’s keep building this crazy, beautiful life.
