That same old feeling….

Sound check was easy, meeting the crew and the band went well, everyone seemed welcoming.

“Ten minutes.”

He grabbed a bucket and puked.

“Five minutes!”

A deep breath, a shot of mouthwash.
Rinse, spit.

“Two minutes!”

Up on the stage, standing in the wings.

“Go! Go! Go!”

He walked on stage, guitar over his shoulder as the lights came up and the crowd went wild.

He knew the set, he knew the songs, he had put in the work to learn the music, the lyrics but you could never fully prepare for a stage full of people.

His fingers danced over the strings, the crowd screamed and started singing along. He stayed back to start, watching the group.

When Lucifer set the flag on fire, the place went wild. Between songs, Ryan stripped off his shirt, throwing it out to the crowd.

Lux was not only stunning, she was gifted, she had the crowd in her hand and she toyed with them, lifting them up as she took them on a journey with her.

When Cherry dropped her pants, even he whistled with appreciation, she was gorgeous and classy, which made the action even wilder.

There was almost a fight in the crowd when Baby tossed some band souvenirs into the crowd.

The show was a wild roller coaster of a ride, orchestrated by their lead singer and ended with the band walking off the stage after a thunderous encore.

Backstage, after the show, his heart was still racing, his blood pounding in his ears. He had almost forgotten the thrill of that crowd, that feeling as they screamed your name.

This was where he belonged.
