A Change Came Quicker That I Thought!
New Year's Eve came and went. I wrote about moving on, people coming and going out of one's life. And the next day, from out of the freaking blue, a messenger pigeon landed in front of me, causing a turmoil of feelings...
"Today I made a new acquaintance. Mark Abit seems like a nice person."
There he was (no, not in the form of a birdie, come on, people 
). But risen from his grave in London. My ex husband, that I'd lost to the eternal sleep over 40 years ago. It felt so overwhelming seeimg him again after he let Scotty beam him up to the Canadian city where I was.
Tears of shock that he actually was right there, breathing and living... tears of sadness and anger that he'd left me without a word... but mostly, tears of happiness that I finally had him back in my life again, flooded my eyes. I couldn't believe that it was true. I reached out to touch his cheek and my fingers felt skin, not a ghostly nothing. He... was... real.
