Electronic music, grunge, flashy gold jewelry, show-offs, drugs and alcohol turn him off completely. Instead he worships the grooves of Maceo Parker, Donny Hathaway, James Brown, Billy Preston and Aretha Franklin and shapes them into his own smooth funk sound.
