butterflies and smiles (chapter four)
Aurora & Atlas

She knows it, she is sure he knows it too for they are made of the same star. Aurora inhales and Atlas exhales, as the two run across the meadows, their laughter echoing for miles. In the distance, their grandmothers conspire to kidnap them for days on end while their parents look on, still in wander - as to what their love is possible of.
Aurora watches Atlas in awe as he leads the way through trees and shrubs like a navigator who needs no compass. No, it's all in his soul, leading him to the blueberries they oh so love, the fluttering butterflies and the smell of freshly baked brioche with a side of rainbow coloured macarons.
And she, she is the light, the curious sparkle that marks their paths just as much as she shines upon it - dandelions in her hair and sweet, warm empathy that is no doubt 4 sizes too big for her. Yet she carries it like it was porcelain, her big blue eyes a window to the compassion that lies within her.
But there isn't a single doubt that what she loves most in this world is to eat and laugh with Atlas til their bellies ache, to roam through the meadows of lands hand in hand and out of breath, and tumble along with her maman and papa rolling down beside them.
The world around them ceases to exist when that fort is built, while she and Atlas lose themselves in the stories not just that their maman reads but of the very ones that they can now dream up in their minds. Ones in which they follow fluffy mice down a winding path and believe it to have grown wings because their imagination dictates so.
The same imagination that allows them to reach for their dreams hidden in their wishes, as they blow their candles, welcoming chapter four.Show spoiler
